Create a Unique Patchwork Blanket from Old Jeans and Cotton Fabrics

Preparation of Materials
The first step is to prepare a huge amount of old jeans: shirts, vests, and jeans. Also, stock up on a lot of old cotton shirts, sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers.
Cutting the Fabric
Cut clothes into strips along the seams, and then cut out the details.
You can also use an old sheet as a lining.Cut things into squares. For a bedspread measuring 180 by 200 cm, you will need:
- One hundred and twenty squares measuring 12 * 12 cm
- One hundred and twenty strips of natural fabric, of different sizes - the width should be 60 - 2.5 cm, and the other half two cm
According to the size of the piles, distribute the fabric shreds.
Sewing Process
Sew the denim with the shortest strip, laying the machine line at a distance of 0.5 cm. Iron this seam after sewing. After each new line, it will be necessary to iron the fabric.
Sew a cotton flap to the right or left side. After this, sew a new patchwork strip from the bottom.
You should get one hundred and twenty blankets from old jeans. Sew each detail together.
Assembling the Blanket
You can alternate the shades in a checkerboard pattern or arrange the dark colors in the middle and light at the edges.
Connect parts in pairs into strips.
Next, sew the finished strips together. You can pre-chop them with pins to hold them in place. Be careful not to move the squares!
Adding Finishing Touches
After this, sew a frill. For this, do not use shreds; it is better to use a cloth.
Sew the strip first from the narrow side of the bedspread, then sew on the second side, and continue this process.
The size of the lining should match the size of the bedspread.
