Pocket:
With Worsted weight yarn and a 6 mm J hook
Row 1: Ch 16, sc in 2 nd ch and across, turn. (15)
Row 2: ch 1, hdc across, turn.
Row 3: ch1, sc across, turn.
Rows 4 – 11: Repeat Rows 2 – 3. FO after Row 11.
Whip stitch pocket to the Front side of the color panel with the uncut yarn at the TOP of the color panel.
Assembling:
Lay the Front Panel WS up and place the color panel pocket RS up on top of the front panel. Using the uncut yarn from the color panel, sl st the two panels together all the way around, FO. Count 10 stitches from the top center in both directions and place a stitch marker.
Lay the Back panel on top of the color panel with the RS facing up. Reattach Bulky yarn in the marked st to the left of center, placing hook through ALL THREE panels. Sl st around the bottom of the purse to the second stitch marker, sl st 10 into BACK PANEL ONLY, chain 21, SLST into last 10 stitches of BACK PANEL ONLY, FO. (60)
Strap:
With Bulky yarn and a 6 mm J hook
Row 1: Chain 125, SC in 2 nd ch and across, turn. (124)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc across, FO. (124) Place stitch marker into 6th stitch from either end.
Attach strap to inside of purse:
Place the end of the strap inside of purse and attach with a whip stitch up to the stitch marker.
Attach a button in to the center of the front panel. Enjoy your purse as is, or add poms or tassels.
Poms:
I use the Clover Pom Maker for Poms and made 2 poms. One in the color panel color and the other in white.
Chain 20, wrap around the strap and SLST into the first chain. FO. Attach poms to chain using a scrap piece of yarn in the color of the pom.
Tassels:
Cut multiple pieces of yarn 10” in length. I made 36. Using 2 strands per tassel, follow photos for how to attach.
