Instructions
Round 1
Ch 5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc, join, ch 3 (10 dc)
Round 2
Dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc, join, ch4 (20 dc)
Round 3
*dc, ch1 in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * around, join, ch3 (20 dc, 20 ch1 = 40 sts)
Round 4
1 dc in the same st as ch3, *1 dc in the ch1 sp, 2 dc in the dc.* Repeat from * to * around, join (60 sts)
Round 5
Ch5 (counts as dc, ch2) *sk 1 st, dc in the next st, ch 2*
Repeat from * to * join, ch 3 (90 sts)
Do not worry if Round 5 is a little ripply; it will flatten out after Round 6.
Round 6
*2 dc in the next ch2 sp, 1 dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * around, join, ch1 (90 dc)
Round 7
1 sc in each dc around, join.
Hanger is optional: ch 8, join to the 1st ch, tie off and weave in your ends. (90 sc)
Curl and Stem
Ch 10, 3 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 3 hdc in each ch across, (27 hdc) do not tie off.
Ch 5, 1 slst in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in the next 3 chs to form a stem. Tie off and sew on.
