Supplies:

Yarn: Sugar ‘N Cream
Color A – Ecru (35 yards)
Color B – Hot Green (10 yards)
Natural, soft, absorbent 100% U.S.A. grown cotton
Content: 100% cotton
Ball Size – Solids: 71g / 2.5 oz, 109 meters / 120 yards
Ball Size – Ombres: 57g / 2 oz, 86 meters / 95 yards

Care: Machine wash and dry

Gauge: 4 – Medium – Worsted
Hook: 3.75 mm [US – F]
Yarn needle

Gauge: 5 rows and 5 pattern repeats = 4 inches

Abbreviations: In US Terminology

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp – space
st(s) – stitch(es)

Special Stitch:

Standing single crochet – ssc: with slip knot on your hook, insert into stitch, yo, pull through stitch, yo, pull through both loops on hook.

Notes:

1. Worked in rows.
2. Written in US terminology.
3. Chain 3 at beginning of Row counts as a stitch.
4. Stitch count at the end of each row indicated inside ( ).
5. Rows 2 and 3 in Red font are the repeat rows to easily find them.

Pattern Starts Here

Instructions:

Color A – ch 32, turn, 1 sc in each ch across. (31 sc)
Row 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in each st across. (31 dc).
Color B – attach new color with ssc (see special stitches above). St is placed between dc sts, not in the top of the st.
Row 2: Add Color B- 1 ssc between 2nd and 3rd dc, *ch 2, skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next sp*, repeat *-* across, ending with 1 sc between 29th and 30th dc, leaving 2 dc for edging. (10 sc, 9 ch2 loops). End off Color B.

Row 3: Pick up Color A- Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in next dc, *3 dc in ch 2 loop*, repeat *-* across placing 1 dc in last 2 sts of previous dc row. (31 dc). Drop loop off hook.

Rows 4-18: Repeat Rows 2 – 3 for pattern.
Row 19: Color A- ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st across. (32 sc). End off yarn.

Fringe: For How To Make Fringe 

Using your fingers, wrap yarn around approximately 6 inches in length. Cut in half, separate into 3 strands for each fringe tassel. With tails along the edge, put hook through last stitch, pull strands through stitch, put ends through loop, pull tail through loop too, pull tight. Repeat for two sides and four corners, trim tassels evenly.
