Crochet Tricolor Keychain

Materials Needed

• Three different colors of yarn
• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Keyring

First Ring

Use your first yarn color.

Make a slip knot and chain 15.

Join the ends with a slip stitch to form a circle.

Chain 3 to start the round.

Work 35 double crochet stitches around the circle.

Join with a slip stitch to close the round.

Border for First Ring

Chain 1, then alternate:

• Slip stitch in next stitch
• Chain 1

Repeat around for decorative border.

Finish off and cut the yarn.

Second Ring

Use your second yarn color.

Make a slip knot and chain 15.

Join this new chain to the first ring by slip stitching into its first chain.

Chain 3 to start.

Work 35 double crochet stitches around the new ring.

Join with a slip stitch.

Border for Second Ring

Add border: slip stitch, then chain 1 in each stitch around.

Finish off, cut yarn, and weave in ends.

Third Ring

Use your third yarn color.

Make a slip knot and chain 15.

Interlock with both previous rings by joining with a slip stitch through their bases.

Chain 3, then work 35 double crochets around the new ring.

Join with a slip stitch to close.

Add border with alternating slip stitch and chain stitch.

Finish off and cut yarn securely.

Finishing Touch

Attach your keyring to one of the completed rings.

Optionally, seal the yarn ends with a lighter for a cleaner finish.
