How to Create a Crochet Hamburger Keychain

Crochet hamburger keychains are the cutest accessory to add a touch of whimsy to your everyday life. Materials
Yarn of the same thickness for your choice (acrylic, wool or cotton). I used acrylic yarn, 400 m/100 g. The size of my hamburger is 5 cm.
Yarn color: sand, beige, brown, green, red and yellow. You may use any leftover yarn as the consumption is minimal.

- - Dry soft pastels or any other suitable means for tinting (brown) - optional
- - A piece of thick cardboard
- - Trinket (thin cord)

- ch – chain
- st - stitch

- inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)

Hamburger Bun
The Inside of the Bun
Work with beige colour yarn.
Rnd 1. 8 sc in a Magic Ring = 8
Rnd 2. 8 inc = 16
Rnd 3. (1 sc, inc)*8 times = 24
Rnd 4. (1 sc, inc, 1 sc)*8 times = 32
Rnd 5. (inc, 3 sc)*7 times, inc, 1 sc, 2 sl st = 40
Fasten off, cut off.
Circle details on the cardboard, cut out circles.
In the center of one of the cardboard circles, make a small hole (for the convenience of attaching a loop for a keychain).
The Top Half of the Bun
Work with sand colour yarn.

Do not cut the thread!
Stuff a little. Close with a cardboard circle with a hole, attach the inside of the bun on top.
Join both parts together, work hooking through both parts: 38 sc, 2 sl st. Stuff lightly as you go.
Fasten off, cut off any excess yarn, hide the end.
The Bottom Half of the Bun
It is slightly smaller in size. Work with sand colour yarn.

Burger
Work with brown colour yarn.

Cut the thread, leaving approx. 10 cm long end. Pull off the loops. Thread the tip of the thread into the needle and make 2-3 stitches through the center of the part, back and forth. Hide the end.
A Slice of Cheese
Crochet a slice of cheese with or without holes (as you wish).
Work with yellow colour yarn.
Crochet in rows. Work 16 ch.
Rnd 1. starting from 2nd ch from hook: 15 sc, 1 ch, turn = 15

Fasten off, cut off.
A Slice of Cheese with Holes
Work 16 ch.
Rnd 1. starting from 2nd ch from hook: 15 sc, 1 ch, turn = 15

Lettuce Leaf
Work with green colour yarn.
Rnd 1. 30 sc in a big Magic Ring – do not tighten the loops, there should be a circle.
Rnd 2. (4 sc, inc)*6 times = 36
Rnd 3. Work 3 ch. Insert the hook into the loop and work: 1 dc. Continue working into every loop 2 dc. Join into a ring with a sl st.
Fasten off, cut off any excess yarn, hide the end.
A Slice of Tomato
Work with red colour yarn.

Assembly and Decoration
Fasten the loop for the keychain (I used a thin silk cord) at the top of the bun.
On the lower part of the bun, glue the details sequentially - burger, cheese, lettuce, tomato, the upper part of the bun. After each layer, let the glue dry!
Optional: tint with dry soft pastels. I tinted the bun with dry brown pastels with a brush.
Embroider sesame seeds with white yarn.
