Instructions for the Ear Warmer
Ch 15 (17,19)
Row 1: Sc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk 1 st, 1 sc in next*, repeat across. (8 (9, 10) sc; 7 (8, 9) ch-1 sps).
Note: Place a stitch marker around the beginning chain 2 to mark the space to end your next row.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn *1 sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1*, repeat across through last ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc between last sc and beg ch-2. (8 (9, 10) sc; 7 (8, 9) ch-1 sps).
Rows 3-64 (66, 68): Repeat Row 2. End off yarn, leave a long tail to seam.
Seam Ear Warmer
Thread the long tail onto a yarn needle. Match up Row 1 to last Row 64 (66, 68). Use a whip stitch to join the ends together. End off yarn, weave in ends.
Instructions for the Rose
Ch 18
Row 1: 1 dc in 6th ch from hook (counts as 1 dc, ch-2), *ch 2, sk 1 ch, 1 dc in next st*, repeat *-* across. (8 dc, 7 ch-2 sps).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, [5 sc in ch-2 sp] 2x, [1 sc, 5 hdc, 1 sc in next ch-2 sp] 5x. (20 sc, 25 hdc; 7 petals total).
End off yarn, leave a long tail for seaming.
Seaming the Rose
Start at the center of the flower, curl the petals around each other to form the flower. Using the tail and yarn needle, sew the flower together from the back. Sew a button or a bead to the center if desired. Leave a long tail to attach to the ear warmer.
Attaching the Rose
Place the rose over the whip stitch seam of the ear warmer. Using the long tail, sew the rose down to secure it. Weave in ends.
