Introduction

The Crochet Morning Star Square is a delightful and intricate pattern that is perfect for adding a touch of charm to your crochet projects. With its intricate design and cozy texture, this square is sure to bring some warmth and loveliness to any blanket or decor piece you create.

Whether you are an experienced crocheter or just starting out, working on the Morning Star Square will be a fun and rewarding experience. So grab your favorite yarn and hook, and let's start crocheting some magic together!

Materials

  • 4mm crochet hook
  • Lightweight/DK yarn: various colors of my leftover yarn
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Note: I used a chainless starting double crochet for every first double crochet of each round/row instead of chain 3. Another good crochet technique to use is chain 2 then double crochet into the same stitch (counted as the 1st double crochet). In the pattern below, you’ll see I simply state double crochet into the 1st stitch for every first double crochet of each round/row, so just choose your best technique.

This crochet Morning Star square pattern can be made with any hook size; choose a yarn type that matches your hook.
