Whether you are an experienced crocheter or just starting out, working on the Morning Star Square will be a fun and rewarding experience. So grab your favorite yarn and hook, and let's start crocheting some magic together!
Materials
- 4mm crochet hook
- Lightweight/DK yarn: various colors of my leftover yarn
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Note: I used a chainless starting double crochet for every first double crochet of each round/row instead of chain 3. Another good crochet technique to use is chain 2 then double crochet into the same stitch (counted as the 1st double crochet). In the pattern below, you’ll see I simply state double crochet into the 1st stitch for every first double crochet of each round/row, so just choose your best technique.
This crochet Morning Star square pattern can be made with any hook size; choose a yarn type that matches your hook.
