Materials
- Dishie 100% Cotton (Worsted weight)
- Approx. 25 yards
- Crochet hook in size 4.5mm
- Stitch marker
- Small button
- Sewing needle and sewing thread (same color as the yarn)
Gauge
14 scs and 11 rows in 4” using single crochet, but you might as well make one since the gauge swatch will take longer.

Bottom
Round 1: Ch-8, 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in 5 chs, 4sc in last, sc in 5 chs, 2sc in same as first. Do not join, mark first stitch of each round with stitch marker. (18)
Rounds 2 through 15: sc in each stitch around, marking first st of each with stitch marker. (18)
To fasten off: Sl st in next 3 sts, clip yarn and weave in all ends.
Top
Round 1: Ch-9, 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in 6 chs, 4sc in last, sc in 6 chs, 2sc in same as first. Do not join, mark first stitch of each round with stitch marker. (20)
Rounds 2 through 9: sc in each stitch around, marking first stitch of each with stitch marker. (20)
Sc in 7 sts, ch-8, sl st to same st, sc in next 5 sts. Sl st to next stitch. Fasten off leaving a long enough tail for construction.
Sew the back of the “top” to the 4th round down on the back of the “body”. Sew a button to the front of the “body” and weave in all ends. All done!
