Create a charming towel topper by crocheting a triangle ring design. This unique and practical accessory will add a touch of handmade elegance to your kitchen or bathroom decor. The triangle shape adds a modern twist to the traditional towel topper, making it a stylish and functional addition to your home.
Materials Needed
Finger towel – 10 inches wide by 16 inches long used
Plastic milk jug ring 1-1/2″ wide
1 oz. Cotton yarn
Finished Topper Size
10″ wide & 5″ long from the top of the ring to the towel top edge
Required Hooks
- #7 Steel crochet hook
- G (4-4.25 mm) crochet hook
Directions
Because finger towels are shorter, there is no cutting or sewing necessary to begin your base row. You will use the steel hook to poke the first hole into the right side corner and pull the yarn through the hole. Then use the G hook to complete your first Sc st. Then move onto the next hole until you have worked completely across the base row evenly with your stitching. Once you have the base row done, you will only be crocheting with the G hook.
Row Instructions
Row 1
Using the steel crochet hook as explained above to poke holes, Sc evenly along the top edge of the towel.
Row 2
Using the G crochet hook, Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st.

Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until you have just 4 sts left.
Work even on 4 sts with Sc in each st, Ch 1, turn. This is for the flap for the ring. Repeat twice more.
(Tip – You can have a flap of 3 or 4 rows long depending on how long you’d like the flap over the ring.)
Fold the flap over the backside of the towel over the ring.
Cut yarn and leave a long tail to use to sl st across the flap to secure the ring in place. FO.
Trimming the Towel Topper
