Getting Started

So let me now get started and tell you what you will need in order to crochet this Summer Beach Cover Up.

Pattern Notes

  1. Before you start, take a measurement of the height of your body and a body measurement (please see the final measurement of the summer beach cover-up below).
  2. This pattern is for XS/S size, but you can easily adapt it to smaller or larger sizes by reducing or increasing the number of rows. Instructions for increasing to M/L and XL sizes are below.
  3. The beach cover-up is slightly oversized. Remember that when making your halter top bigger, you will need more yarn.
  4. The beach cover-up is worked from the top down, working the top border part in continuous rounds, then the top of front and back panels in rows. After joining the front and back panels together, work in closed rounds.
  5. A Ch 3 at the beginning of the row counts as a double crochet (dc) throughout.
