How to Knit a Stylish Cotton Hat

You’ll Need:

50g of white Lotos yarn (100% cotton; 250m/100g);

Knitting needles 2.

Head Circumference:

56 cm.

Used Patterns:

• 1 x 1 rib.
• Relief pattern:
• 1^st row: * 3 purls, yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *;
• 2^nd-4^th rows: as sts face;
• 5^th row: * 3 purls, knit2tog, yarn over*; repeat from * to *;
• 6^th row: as 2^nd row.

Repeat 1^st-6^th rows.

Stitches Control:

22 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Cast on 90 sts and work with 1 x 1 rib for 2 cm. Work with relief pattern. At 19 cm from the beginning of work, start making decreases for hat’s narrowing in every 2^nd row. For this, make knit2tog in every 5 sts, in the next row – in every 4 sts, then, in every 3 sts, in every 2 sts, in every st. Then, make knit2tog. Tighten the rest sts with working yarn.

Make hat seam.
