How to Knit a Stylish Blue Top Using Cotofine and Linarte Yarn


You’ll Need:
250 (300)g of blue Cotofine Lana Grossa yarn (70% cotton, 30% polyamide; 90m/50g);
100 (150)g of blue Linarte Lana Grossa yarn (40% viscose, 30% cotton, 20% linen, 10% polyamide; 125m/50g);
Knitting needles 6 and 7;
Crochet hook 5;
2 buttons.

1 x 1 rib.
Net: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 3 + 1 selvage st.
1st row (Linarte yarn): 1 selvage st, 2 knit sts, * 1 yarn over, 1 double broaching, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, 1 selvage st;
2nd row (Linarte yarn): purl;
3rd row (Cotofine): 1 selvage st, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 double broaching in 1 yarn over, 1 broaching, 1 knit st, 1 selvage st;
4th row (Cotofine): purl.
Repeat 1st-4th rows.
Stitches Control:
14 sts of rib = 10 cm;
Net: 13 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 58 (62) sts with Cotofine yarn and work with knitting needles 6. Work with rib, start the 1st WS row with 1 selvage st, 1 purl, 2 knit sts. In 7 cm, increase 7 sts in the last row = 65 (69) sts. Change to knitting needles 7 and work with net pattern. For side chamfers, increase 1 x 1 st in the 9th row from both sides and 3 x 1 st in every 6th row = 73 (77) sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 22 (23) cm from the beginning of work, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides for sleeves, then, cast on 5 x 1 st and 11 x 2 sts = 129 (133) sts. In 56 (57) cm from the beginning of work, bind off all sts.
Front:
Make in the same way as back.
Assembly:
Make 23 (25) cm of shoulder and sleeve seams from both sides. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets with Cotofine yarn. For neck-hole, connect the central 28 cm of back and front between each other from both sides. Sew 1 button at these places. Cast on 40 sts along edges of sleeves with Cotofine yarn with knitting needles 6. Work with rib, decrease 4 sts in the 1st row = 36 sts. In 4 cm, bind off sts. Make side and sleeve seams.
