Special Stitches
The V-Stitch (v-st) is defined as [dc, ch 3, dc] in the stitch indicated.
Requirements
The quantity of stitches must be a multiple of 10 plus 3.
Row Instructions
1st Row (RS)
dc in the 4th ch from the hook, dc in the next ch, skip 2 ch, v-st in the next ch, skip 2 ch, *dc in the next 5 ch, skip 2 ch, v-st in the next ch, skip 2 ch; repeat from * across to the last 3 ch, dc in the last 3 ch, turn.
2nd Row
ch 2, skip the 1st 2 dc, dc in the next dc, ch 2, 5 dc in the ch 3 space, ch 2, *dc2tog over the 1st and 5th dc (skipping the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dc) of the 5 dc group, ch 2, 5 dc in the ch 3 space, ch 2; repeat from * across to the last 3 dc, dc2tog over the next dc and top of tch, turn.
3rd Row
ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1), dc into the top of dc2tog, dc in the next 5 dc, *v-st in the top of dc2tog, dc in the next 5 dc; repeat from * across to the last dc, [dc, ch 1, dc] in the last dc, turn.
4th Row
