You’ll Need:

550 (600)g of bronze color (#8) Lana Grossa Dacapo yarn (100% cotton; 75m/50g);

Knitting needles 5.5 and 6;

Circular knitting needles 5.5 (60 cm long).

Size:

S (M-L).

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib.

Relief pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows sts and yarn overs as purls.

Start with sts before the 1st arrow, repeat 4 sts of pattern between arrows, finish with sts after the 2nd arrow. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Stitches Control:

14 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 73 (81) sts with knitting needles 5.5 and make 4 cm = 11 rows of 1 x 1 rib, starting with 1 WS row and making 1 knit st after the selvage st and finishing with 1 knit st before the last selvage st. Then, work with relief pattern using knitting needles 6. In 44 (43) cm = 96 (94) rows from the placket, cast on 8 sts from both sides for short sleeves = 89 (97) sts. Then, knit straight. In 18 (19) cm = 40 (42) rows from the beginning of sleeves, bind off the central 35 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. Bind off 1 x 2 sts in the 2nd row from inwards for smooth rounding. In 2 cm = 4 rows from the beginning of the neck-hole, bind off the rest 25 (29) sts of shoulder/sleeve from each side.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, in 12 (13) cm = 26 (28) rows from the beginning of the sleeve, bind off the central 25 sts and finish both sides separately. Bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards for smooth rounding. Bind off the rest 25 (29) sts of shoulder/sleeve from the outer edge at the height of back.

Assembly

Make shoulder/sleeve seams. Cast on 100 sts along the neck-hole with knitting needles 5.5 and work with rib in circular rows. Bind off sts in 3 cm. Cast on 59 (63) sts with circular knitting needles 5.5 along the edges of sleeves and work with straight and reversed rows of rib, making 1 knit st after the selvage st and finishing with 1 knit st before the last selvage st. Bind off all sts at a 4 cm height of flacket. Make lower sleeve and side seams.
