How to Make Homemade Candles: A Complete Guide

You'll Need
To get started on making your homemade candles, gather the following materials:
- Wax
- Saucepan
- Wooden stick
- Aroma oils
- Dye-ware colors
- Glass jar
Instructions
Follow these steps to create your own homemade candles:
To fill the wax in a glass container, it must first be prepared. To do this, take a piece of wax and cut it into small cubes. Place the chopped wax in a saucepan.
Melt the wax in a water bath. To set up the water bath, turn on the stove and place a pot of water on the burner. Next, place a bowl with the wax on top of the pot.
Stir the wax with a wooden stick until it completely melts. Once melted, turn off the stove but keep the saucepan with wax on the heat.
Now, add the necessary additives such as aroma oils and dyes. Mix everything thoroughly with the wooden stick.
The wax is now ready! Remember that it can freeze very quickly, so you need to act fast. Pour the wax into the jar while gently holding the felit.
Take the glass jar and fasten the wick inside it. Drip some wax on one end of the wick or use a special tablet clamp to secure it to the bottom of the container via a tube.
Fasten the other end of the wick to ensure it doesn’t fall inward. You can wind it on a wooden skewer or use a special clip for support.
Slowly pour the liquid wax into the glass container, ensuring the wick stays in place.
When the wax hardens from the top, you can remove the wick mount. If a recess forms in the candle, fill it in with any remaining wax. For a striped candle, alternate colors of wax and let each layer dry before adding the next.
