Special Stitches

C1F2 – Slip 1 knit stitch to the extra needle and hold in front of work, p2 from the left hand needle, k1 from the extra needle.

C2B1 – Slip 2 purl stitches to the extra needle and hold in back of work, k1 from the left hand needle, p2 from the extra needle.

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 6 + 2 + 2 selvage stitches.

Start and finish every row with 1 selvage stitch.

Row Instructions

1st row (RS): 1 purl, 1 knit stitch, *4 purls, 2 knit stitches*; repeat from * to *, 4 purls, 1 knit stitch, 1 purl;

2nd row: 1 knit stitch, 1 purl, *4 knit stitches, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 4 knit stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch;

3rd row (RS): as the 1st row;

4th row: as the 2nd row;

5th row (RS): 1 purl, *C1F2, C2B1*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

6th row: 3 knit stitches, 2 purls, *4 knit stitches, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 3 knit stitches;

7th row (RS): 3 purls, *2 knit stitches, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit stitches, 3 purls;

8th row: as the 6th row;

9th row (RS): 1 purl, *C2B1, C1F2*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl.

Repeat the 2nd to 9th rows.
