​Crochet Geometric Mittens

You’ll need:

3 skeins of dust-pink (100% merino wool; 105m/50g);

Crochet hooks 3,5; 4; 4,5.

Stitches control: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

First Part

Make 1 st with crochet hook 4,5 and make 72 chain sts with crochet hook 4,5. Continue work with crochet hook 4. Work in straight and reversed directions:

1^st row (RS): turn with 3 chain sts increase, 1 single crochet in every of the first 22 chain sts, skip 2 chain sts, mark sts before/after them, 1 single crochet in every of the last 48 sts;

2^nd row: turn with 1 chain st increase, 1 single crochet in every of the first 47 single crochets, skip 2 single crochets (near marker) and make 1 single crochet in every of the last 21 single crochets;

3^rd row: turn with 1 chain st increase, 1 single crochet in every of the first 20 single crochets, skip 2 single crochets (near marker) and make 1 single crochet in every of the last 46 single crochets;

4^th row: turn with 1 chain st increase, 1 single crochet in every of the first 45 single crochets, skip 2 single crochets (near marker) and make 1 single crochet in every of the last 19 single crochets.

Continue work, decrease 1 single crochets from both sides in every row until the length of side is 22 sts (short side).

Second Part

Work from the first part in the following way: 1 single crochet in the middle of 2 chain sts neat marker, 24 chain sts.

1^st row: turn with the help of 1 chain st increase and make 1 single crochet in every of the first 22 chain sts, skip 2 chain sts and make 1 single crochet in every chain st of long side = 48 single crochets;

2^nd row: turn with the help of 1 chain st increase and make 1 single crochet in every of the first 47 chain sts, skip 2 chain sts and make 1 single crochet in every chain st of long side = 21 single crochets;

3^rd row: turn with the help of 1 chain st increase and make 1 single crochet in every of the first 20 chain sts, skip 2 chain sts and make 1 single crochet in every chain st of long side = 46 single crochets.

Continue work, decrease 1 single crochets from both sides in every row until the length of side is 22 sts (short side).

Hole for Thumb

Make from outer edge of mitten along shorter side of pattern. Count 8 rows down from the edge of the detail and make 1 single crochet from every row with decreases = 15 single crochets.

Make sts for the second part of hole for thumb along the opposite side of mitten. After that, work with single crochets and turn every row with the help of 1 chain st increase, make decreases, slip the central 2 sts in every row. Bind off sts in 6 rows, make cross single crochets in the last row. For this, make sts from RS with crochet hook 3,5 and make a row of cross single crochets. Make seams and row of cross single crochets along upper edge of mitten.

Make the second mitten in the same way.
