Stitches Control:
11.5 stitches x 17.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 56 (60) 64 stitches with grey-brown yarn using the criss-cross method. Continue to work with stockinette stitch following stripes order A. In 41 cm = 72 rows (44.5 cm = 78 rows) 48 cm = 84 rows from the set-up row, bind off stitches with light-blue yarn. The central 24 stitches form the neck hole, while the outer 16 (18) 20 stitches from both sides form the shoulders.
Left Front:
Cast on 50 (52) 54 stitches with grey-brown yarn using the criss-cross method. Continue to work with stockinette stitch according to stripes order A. At the same time, for the front chamfer, make along the left side before the selvage stitch:
- * Bind off 5 x knit2tog in every 2nd row from the set-up row and 1 x knit3tog in every 2nd row (= totally, 7 decreases);
- Repeat from * to * 3 times, then bind off 6 x knit2tog in every 2nd row (6 x knit2tog in every 2nd and 4th rows by turn) and 6 x knit2tog in every 4th row.
Bind off the rest 16 (18) 20 stitches of shoulder at the height of back with light-blue yarn.
Right Front:
Make in the same way as the left front, but in reflection. For decrease, make knit2tog to the left after the selvage stitch for 2 stitches decrease, and make 3 stitches together as broaching.
Sleeves:
Cast on 28 (32) 38 stitches for each sleeve with pink yarn using the criss-cross method. Continue to work with stockinette stitch according to stripes order B. At the same time, increase 7 x 1 stitch in every 10th row from both sides due to the color of the yarn = 42 (46) 52 stitches. In 48 cm = 84 rows from the set-up row, bind off all stitches with light-blue yarn.
Straps:
Make 2. Cast on 4 stitches in 3 threads of yarn with grey-brown yarn on 2 double-pointed knitting needles and make them as knit stitches:
- * Don’t turn your work, replace stitches to the beginning of the needle, yarn behind work, tighten and make as knit stitches *;
- Repeat from * to * until the length of straps is 48 cm. Bind off stitches.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams. Fasten the edge of the back neck hole with 1 row of “shrimp stitch” using light-blue yarn. Sew up the sleeves, and make side and sleeve seams. Sew straps to the lower corners of the front.
