Crochet Pattern for Beautiful Textured Stitch with Spike Stitches

The quantity of stitches is multiple of 4 + 1.

RND 1: In the 1st row, work 3 double crochets (dc) in the 5th chain stitch from the crochet hook, then chain 1. * Skip 3 chain stitches, work 3 dc in the next chain stitch, then chain 1.* Repeat from * to * across until the last 4 chain stitches. Skip 3 chain stitches and work 2 dc in the last chain stitch, then turn.

RND 2: In the 2nd row, chain 2. * Work (1 dc, 1 spike stitch, 1 dc) into the next 1 chain stitch space, then chain 1.* Repeat from * to * across, and work 2 dc in the beginning chain stitch space, then turn.

RND 3: In the 3rd row, chain 2. * Work (1 dc, 1 spike stitch, 1 dc) into the next 1 chain stitch space, then chain 1.* Repeat from * to * across, and work 2 dc in the beginning 2 chain stitches, then turn.

Repeat the 3rd row continuously for the desired length of your project.
