Materials:

Fingering/Size 1 yarn
*Capretta Fingering in “Morel” pictured
-approx. (300, 370, 440, 510, 560) yards total
Crochet hook in size 4mm or size needed to obtain gauge
Stitch markers

Gauge: 16 sts and 26 rows in 3” square using the Alternating Single Crochet Spike Stitch (NOT the typical 4”)

Pattern Notes:

  • Pattern written using US terms.
  • The chain at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a stitch.
  • Even numbered rounds are ”Right Side”.
  • For the toe we are working in a spiral, for the foot and remainder we are joining and turning each round.
  • These are intended to be ankle socks. However, if you wish to make them taller, once past the ankle rows simply continue the “leg” to make the socks as tall as you like.

Sizing:

(1, 2, 3, 4, 5) = (W5-6, W7-9, W10-11/M8-9, M10-11, M12-13)
