This stitch pattern is made by means of puff sts, which consists of 2 double crochets. The quantity of sts is multipled 2 + 1 st for the symmetry.

1st row: 1st puff st in the 3rd chain st from the crochet hook, * 1 chain st, 1 puff double crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row;

2nd row: 2 chain sts increase, 1 puff double crochet in the 1st puff st of the previous row, * 1 chain st, 1 puff double crochet in the puff st of the previous row*; repeat from * to *.

Repeat the 2nd row.
