Pattern
RND 1: Ch 20, dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 1 dc in each ch across, Turn, ch 3 (18 dc)
RND 2: Dc in the next dc, and in each dc across, Turn, ch 3 (18 dc)
RND 3: Dc in the next dc, and in each dc across, Turn, Working on the side of the row, even st 5 dc, Turn working across the bottom of the rows, 1 dc in each dc, Turn Working on the other side of the row, even st 5 dc, Join to the ch 3 with a slst, ch 3 (18 + 5 + 18 + 5 = 46 dc)
RND 4: 1 dc in each dc around, Join to the ch 3 with a slst, ch 3 (46 dc)
RND 5: 1 dc in each dc around, Join to the ch 3 with a slst, ch 3 (46 dc)
RND 6 - RND 14: Repeat RND 5, Ch 1 after RND 14
RND 15: 1 sc in each dc around, Join to the 1st sc with a slst.
Forming The Button Tab
Slst in the next 18 sc, turn, ch 1, slst in the next 8 slst, turn, ch 1 (46 sc, 18 slst, 8 sc)
RND 16: 1 sc in each of the 8 sc, turn, ch 1 (8 sc)
RND 17 - RND 22: Repeat RND 16
RND 23: Sc in the 1st 2 sc, ch 4, sk 4 sc, sc in the last 2 sc, Tie off Weave in Your ends. (2 sc, ch 4, 2 sc)
Line up button on the front of the tote and sew in place.
Tote Handle
Place a D Ring at each side of the tote, with needle yarn, Sew them in place securely.
Starting with a 10-inch tail of yarn, and holding 2 strands of yarn together, ch 100 chs, tie off, leaving a 10-inch tail of yarn.
RND 2: Slide the chain through both D Rings and tie securely. Trim the ends. Add tags, key chains, or charms.
