Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/ round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use, which is ch 2, dc into the same stitch (counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below, you’ll see I simply state dc into the 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/ round, so just choose your best technique.

- R1: form a magic ring, 12 dc into ring, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R2: inc dc x 12 times, total 24 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R3: (inc dc, dc into next st) x 12 times, total 36 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R4: (inc dc, 2 dc across) x 12 times, total 48 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R5: (inc dc, 3 dc across) x 12 times, total 60 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R6: (inc dc, 4 dc across) x 12 times, total 72 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R7: *(sc, dc) into same st, skip next st* repeat ** around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R8: change to color B yarn, *(sc, dc) into same st, skip next st* repeat ** around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R9: change to color A yarn, *(sc, dc) into same st, skip next st* repeat ** around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- Repeat (R8 and R9) 2 more times until you reach R13.

Scarf Instructions
Work in rounds. Start with color A yarn.
Round Instructions
- R1: ch 180, sl into 1st chain to form a round, make 180 dc around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R2: 180 dc around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R3: same as R2.
- R4: *(sc, dc) into same st, skip next st* repeat ** around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R5: change to color B yarn, *(sc, dc) into same st, skip next st* repeat ** around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
- R6: change to color A yarn, *(sc, dc) into same st, skip next st* repeat ** around, sl into 1st stitch to join.
