Crochet Hook

Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

Color Changing Technique

Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

Joining with Single Crochet (sc)

When instructed to join with sc, begin with a slip knot on the hook, insert hook in stitch or space indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Dishcloth Instructions

Round 1

(Right Side) Starting in the center with Yellow, ch 6, sl st in first ch to form a ring; ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch 3), [dc in ring, ch 3] 7 times; join with sl st to first dc. (8 dc and 8 ch-3 spaces) Finish off Yellow and weave in ends.

Round 2

With right side facing, join White with sl st to any ch-3 space, ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 3 dc in the same space, ch 2, [4 dc in next space, ch 2] around; join. (32 dc and 8 ch-2 spaces) Finish off White and weave in ends.

Round 3

With right side facing, join Yellow with sl st to any ch-2 space, ch 3, 5 dc in the same space, ch 1, 6 dc in the next space, ch 3, [6 dc in the next space, ch 1, 6 dc in the next space, ch 3] around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.

Round 4

With right side facing, join White with sc to any ch-1 space, [ch 3, skip next 3 dc, sc in space before next dc (center of 6-dc group), ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next ch-3 space, ch 3, skip next 3 dc, sc in space before next dc, ch 3, sc in next ch-1 space] around, omitting last sc on final repeat; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Round 5

With right side facing, join Green with sl st to any corner ch-3 space, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the same space, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 2, sc in next space, ch 3, sc in the next space, ch 2, 3 dc in the next ch-3 space, ch 1, * (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner ch-3 space, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 2, sc in next space, ch 3, sc in the next space, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1; repeat from * around; join with sl st to first dc.

Rounds 6-7

Sl st to ch-2 space, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the same space, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1] across to the next corner, * (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner ch-2 space, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1] across to the next corner; repeat from * around; join.

At the end of Round 7, finish off and weave in ends.

Round 8

With right side facing, join White with sl st to any corner ch-2 space, ch 3, sc in the same space, [ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next space] around, working [ch 3, sc] twice in each corner; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
