Materials Needed:

WW cotton yarn

Size "G" Hook

Approx. size: 10" x 10"

Row 1: ch 38, sc in second ch from hook, and each ch across. (37 sc) Turn

Row 2: Ch 3 (count as first dc now and throughout), dc in next sc, sk 2 sc, (work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next sc, *sk 2 sc, dc in next 2 sc, sk 2 sc, (work 2 dc, ch 1. 2 dc) in next sc*. Repeat * to * across. Turn

Row 3: Ch 1 sc in same sp, sc in each st and each ch1 sp across. (37 sc) Turn

Row 4: Ch 3 (count as first dc now and throughout), dc in next sc, sk 2 sc, (work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next sc, *sk 2 sc, dc in next 2 sc, sk 2 sc, (work 2 dc, ch 1. 2 dc) in next sc*. Repeat * to * across. Turn

Row 5-22: Repeat rows 3 & 4 (9 times)

Row 23: Ch 1 sc in same sp, sc in each st and each ch1 sp across. (37 sc) Turn

Edging:

Row 1: Ch 1 sc in same sp, sc evenly around using 3 sc in corner, join with sl st to first sc. Do not turn

Row 2: Ch 1 (work 1 sc, 2dc) in same sp, sk next st, sc in next st, *sk next st, (work 1 sc, 2 dc )in next st*. Repeat *to* around. Join with sl st to first sc.

Finish off and weave in ends.
