Open Mesh Magic Crocheted Dishcloth Pattern

Hook:
“H” (5 mm) Crochet Hook

Materials:
2 ozs of Cotton yarn
1/4 oz contrasting Cotton yarn for trim

Description:
9-1/2 inches X 9 inches Cotton Dishcloth

Directions:
Row 1
Ch 32, Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea st. (31)

Row 2 (DC Row)
Ch 2, turn. DC in 1st st, *Ch 1, Sk next st, DC in next st*
Repeat between * to end. Work another DC in last st.
(You will have two DC in last st)

Row 3 (SC Row)
Ch 1, turn. Sk 1st DC, *Sc in next DC, Sc in Ch 1 sp, Sc in next DC*
Repeat between * to last st of row. Sk last DC and Sc into the top of Ch 2.

Repeat Row 2 and 3 until have 10 rows of boxes. End with row 3. FO.

FYI – Each DC should be lined up over the top of each other which creates the box effect.

Trim:
Using contrasting cotton yarn, attach yarn in any corner with RS facing. Work 3 Sc in corners and Sc evenly around the dishcloth. Join with Sl St to beg Sc. FO.
