Notes

Beginning ch3 counts as dc throughout the pattern.

Finish Size: 8”h x 8”w inches or 12”h x 12”w inches

If doing an 8” x 8” square, follow directions for Rnds 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, then do Alt Rnd 6 directions.

Different Stitches

Surface Double Treble Crochet (SDTC) - Yarn over 3 times, bring yarn in front of your work, insert the hook in the free front loop below the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, [yarn over, draw through 2 loops] Do this 4 times.

Note: When working SDTC, you’re leaving the stitch above the free front loop unworked. Leave this stitch unworked.
