Materials Needed

H Hook - I used Peaches & Cream Cotton and it measured 14" x 14"

G Hook - WW yarn would measure 12" x 12"

Important Notes

  • A) Beginning Shell: ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same st
  • B) Shell: 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same st
  • C) ALWAYS sl st in center of shell at the beginning of each row unless directed otherwise
  • D) V st: 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in same st

Instructions

Row 1

1. ch 4, join, ch 2, 2 dc in same st, ch 1, * 3 dc, ch 1
*Repeat 32 more times, join to top of ch 3. (4 sets of 3 dc, ch 1)

Row 2

2. Sl st into ch 1 space, ch 3 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same st, ch 1 *Repeat around, join to top of ch 3 (**3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1 in same space)

Row 3

3. sl st to center of shell, beg. shell, ch 1, *in next ch 2 space, (1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 1 in the same space, in the next ch 2 space shell in shell space, ch 2 *Repeat around, join

Row 4

4. Sl st to center of shell, beg shell in this space, ch 1,* 7 dc in ch 3 space, ch 1, shell in corner, ch 1, *Repeat around, Join

Row 5

5. Beg. shell in center of shell, ch 2, *1 dc, ch 1 in each of the 7 dc's, ch 2, shell in center of shell, ch 1, *Repeat around, join
