PATTERN.

Materials:

  • Any cotton 100% Weight/Yardage 50g/137yds: Cascade Ultra Pima Fine, 100% cotton or Schachenmayr Catania, etc.
  • Size D/3 (3 mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations (US terms):

ch – chain

st st – slip stitch

sc – single crochet

dc – double crochet

sk – skip

st(s) – stitch(es)

Skill Level: Easy

Instructions.

Head.

Round 1: Magic ring with orange color, 6 sc in ring and pull tight. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (12 sts)

Round 3: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts). Move marker.

Round 4: sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts). Move marker.

Round 5: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st* repeat around. (36 sts). Move marker.

Round 6: sc in each chain stitch around. (36 sts). Move marker.

Round 7: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st* repeat around. (54 sts). Move marker.

Round 8: sc in each chain stitch around. (54 sts).

Round 9: sc in each chain stitch around. (54 sts).

Round 10: *2 sc in next st, 1sc in next st*repeat around. (81 sts). Move marker.

Round 11 – 12: sc in each chain stitch around. (81 sts). Break yarn and fasten off.

Stem of pumpkin

Ch 10 with green color in the next st, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in the next 3 sts, dc in the next 3 sts. Skip 2 sts and ss in the 3rd st. Break yarn.

Ears.

Round 1: Magic ring with orange color, 6 sc in ring and pull tight. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (12 sts)

Round 3: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts)

Round 4: sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts)

Round 5: *2 sc in next st, 1sc in next st*repeat around. (36 sts). Move marker.

Round 6: sc in each chain stitch around. (36 sts). Break yarn and fasten off.

Make 2 ears.

Leaf.

Row 1: Chain 10 with the green color. Turn your work. 8 sc, 3 sc in the same stitch, 7 sc, turn.

Row 2: sc in 2nd st, 6 sc, 3 sc in the same st, 8 sc, break yarn and fasten off.

Assembling

Sew the ears with orange color yarn. For this skip 2 sts from the stem left and start sewing left ear and skip 2 sts from the stem right and start sewing right ear.

Tendril of pumpkin.

Ch 30 in the same st that you chain for Stem of pumpkin. Break yarn.

Sew the leaf and the tendril with green color yarn as you can see at the picture below.
