Crochet Chuckles Baby Blanket

.

Introducing the Crochet Chuckles Baby Blanket, a delightful creation that will bring joy and warmth to any little one. This charming blanket is expertly crafted using the art of crochet, resulting in a unique and beautiful design that is sure to capture everyone's attention. The soft and cozy texture of the blanket is perfect for snuggling and providing comfort to your precious bundle of joy. The intricate crochet stitches create a mesmerizing pattern that adds a touch of elegance to this adorable blanket. Made with the softest yarn, this blanket is gentle against your baby's delicate skin, ensuring a cozy and soothing experience. Whether you're looking for a special gift for a baby shower or wanting to create a cherished heirloom, the Crochet Chuckles Baby Blanket is the perfect choice.

As mentioned, I use Lion Brand Ice Cream Divagation yarn color Chuckles. Yarn weight is medium 4 and content is 100% acrylic. One ball has 7 oz. (200 g) 437 yds (400 m) in it and I used 3 balls for the blanket, which measures about 36 inches long and 34 inches wide. Crochet hook is size 6 mm.

Abbreviations: ch = chain sc = single crochet st = stitch yo = yarn over

Special stitch: sc-cluster = pull up a loop in same st as last, pull up a loop in each next 2 st, yo and pull through all 4 loops on hook

Pattern notes: Ch in the beginning of rows doesn't count as a stitch.

  • Ch 120.
  • Row 1 = sc in 2nd ch from and in each next ch (119 sc), turn.
  • Row 2 = ch, sc in 1st st, sc-cluster (please see Special stitch), *ch, sc-cluster, repeat from* to end of row, sc in last st, turn.
  • Repeat row 2 until you have preferred size of blanket.
  • Border = for my 34 x 36 -inch blanket I needed about 35 yards of yarn for 1 round of border.
  • Turn the piece sideways and ch, *sc in end space of each row on the 1st side, sc 2 in corner space, sc in each foundation ch loop on 2nd side, sc 2 in corner space, repeat from* on 3rd and 4th sides, sc in same space as 1st sc, sl st in 1st sc, cut off and fasten off yarn.
  • Weave in ends.
