For making "braid" cast on needles the sts multipled in 11 + 2 sts for the symmetry, + 2 selvedge sts.

1,3,7,9 rows: *2 purls, 9 knit sts *, 2 purls;

2 and all the even rows: 2 knit sts, * 9 purls, 2 knit sts*;

5th row: * 2 purls, 3,4,5 draw front on the auxiliary needle, knit 6,7,8th sts, then 3,4,5th sts are knit, 3 knit sts *, 2 purls;

11th row: * 2 purls, 3 knit sts, 6,7,8 draw back on the auxiliary needle, knit 9,10,11th sts, then6,7,8th sts from the auxiliary needle are knit*, 2 purls.

Repeat from the 1st row.
