Using 3.25mm needles and yarn B, cast on 120 sts.Work first row of chart A repeating 20 times.
Continue working grid cuff, using the chart as a guide, until 24 rounds have been worked.
Now using yarn B only, knit 1 round, then purl 1 round (fold line), then knit 1 round.
Change to yarn A and knit one round.
Wrap first stitch of next round. Turn your work inside out, and continue to knit each round using yarn A.
Change to yarn A only, and knit every round until the stocking leg measures 10cm from where you changed to yarn A.
Next round: K5, work sts from row 1 of chart B, K64, slip marker, wrap and turn.
Next round: P64, work Row 2 of chart B, P5, slip marker, wrap and turn.
Continue in this manner, working intarsia in the round, until the chart is worked in its entirety and you are knitting in rounds on the right side.
Continue knitting every round in yarn A until the stocking leg measures 40cm from cuff fold line.
Heel Turn
Knit 30 using yarn A.Change to yarn B and knit the next 60 stitches.
The heel turn will be worked backwards and forwards in rows, not rounds, on these 60 stitches.
Next row (WS): sl1, P58, wrap next st and turn.
Next row (RS): sl1, K57, wrap next st and turn.
Continue as set, working 1 less stitch before wrapping until just 20 central stitches remain unwrapped, ending with a WS row.
Reverse Heel Shaping
Next row: Knit up to the first wrapped stitch. Wrap it again, and turn.Next row: Purl up to the next wrapped stitch. Wrap it again, and turn.
Next row: Knit up to the first wrapped stitch. Knit it TBL with both its wraps, wrap next st and turn.
Next row: Purl up to the next wrapped stitch. Purl it with both its wraps, wrap next st and turn.
Continue to reverse the heel shaping until all stitches have been unwrapped and both previously unwrapped end stitches have a single wrap each, ending with a WS row.
Turn.
