How to Crochet a Colorful Bag with Flower Buckles









You’ll Need:
100g of blue Boston yarn (70% polyacryl, 30% wool; 55m/50g);
100g of the same yarn, but in orange color;
50g of the same yarn, but in yellow, ecru, purple and green colors (each);
Crochet hook 7;
3 buckles in the shape of a flower.
Size:
43 x 44 cm.
Used Patterns
Pearl edge: the quantity of stitches is multiple of 12 + 7.
Work according to the scheme. Start with stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat and finish with stitches after pattern repeat. Make 1st-3rd rows once, then, repeat 2nd-3rd rows.Colors order: *2 green rows, 2 ecru rows, 2 purple rows, 2 yellow rows, 2 orange rows, 2 blue rows*.
Stitches Control:
11 stitches x 6.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Note: Work as a one-piece cloth.
Instructions
Make 67 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase with green yarn and work with pearl edge pattern according to the colors order. In 37 cm = 24 rows from the set-up row, skip 24 stitches from the right side. In 74 cm = 48 rows from the set-up row, finish your work on the remaining 43 stitches.
Assembly
Start with green yarn at the left upper pearl edge and fill in the corner according to the scheme (green signs on the scheme and pattern design). Connect the bag according to the pattern design. For this, fold the set-up row in the middle (arrow A) and sew. Make the same actions with the left side edge (arrow B).
Handles
Make 40 chain stitches with orange yarn and fasten them with 2 rows of single crochets using orange and blue yarn. Sew handles. Attach a flower buckle to every handle. Sew the third buckle to the center of the bag as a button. For the button-loop, make a chain of 12 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in the edge near the beginning of the loop, 12 single crochets along the chain, and 1 single crochet in the edge.
