Row 1: 1 sc in and ch from hook *, skip next ch, 5 hdc in next ch (shell mode), skip next ch **, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch *, repeat from * to * across, ending last repeat at **, (1 sc, ch 1, 1 sc) in last ch, working across opposite side of foundation ch, skip next ch, repeat from * to * across, ending last repeat at **, sc in last ch, join with s1 st to first sc;

Row 2: S1 st in each of next 3 hdc, ch 1, sc in same st, * ch 7, 1 sc in third hdc of next shell, repeat from * across, skip next hdc, 1 hdc, turn;

Row 3: Ch 7 (counts as hdc, ch 5), * (1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc) in 4th ch of next ch-7 loop (picot mode), ch 5, repeat from * across, ending with 1 hdc in last hdc of previous row, turn;
