You’ll Need:

150 (200)g of light-violet 100% cotton yarn (142m/50g);

100 (150)g of the same yarn, but in blue, turquoise, light-green, and light-yellow colors (each);

Crochet hooks 3.5 and 4.

Size:

S (M).

Used Patterns:

Main Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 14 + 1. Work according to the scheme.

Start with stitches before the pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after the pattern repeat. Make rows 1 to 3 once, then repeat rows 2 and 3.

When changing the color of yarn, make the last double crochet of the row with the color of the next row.

Colors Order A

13 (14) rows of light-violet, blue, turquoise, light-green, and light-yellow (each) = 65 (70) rows.

Colors Order B

2 light-violet, blue, turquoise, light-green, and light-yellow rows (each); repeat from * to *.

“Grid” Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 14 + 1. Work according to the scheme in the same way as the main pattern. Start with stitches before the pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after the pattern repeat. Make rows 4 to 6 once, then repeat rows 5 and 6.

Note: After the 1st row of this pattern (= 4th row of the scheme), the quantity of stitches will be a multiple of 12 + 1.

Stitches Control:

  • Main Pattern (crochet hook 3.5): 21 stitches x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
  • Main Pattern (crochet hook 4): 18.5 stitches x 9.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
  • “Grid” Pattern (crochet hook 3.5): 21 stitches x 10.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back

Make 85 (113) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase with light-violet yarn and crochet hook 3.5, and work with the main pattern according to Colors Order A. In 59 cm = 65 rows (63.5 cm = 70 rows) from the set-up row, switch to light-violet yarn and continue with the “grid” pattern. After making the 66th (71st) row from the set-up row, there will be 73 (97) stitches in work. In 68.5 cm = 75 rows (76 cm = 84 rows) from the set-up row, leave the central 31 (37) stitches open for the neck-hole and finish each side separately. In 78 cm = 85 rows (85.5 cm = 94 rows) from the set-up row, complete your work after making 21 (30) stitches for each shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way as the back.

Sleeves

Make 57 (71) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase with light-violet yarn and crochet hook 3.5, and work with the main pattern according to Colors Order B. In 16.5 cm = 18 rows from the set-up row, change to crochet hook 4 for sleeve widening. In 29 cm = 30 rows from the set-up row, switch to light-violet yarn again and continue with the “grid” pattern. In 31 cm = 32 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves, and create side and sleeve seams.
