Knitting Your Stylish Pullover with Frisetto Yarn

You’ll Need:

450 (500) 500g of black Frisetto yarn (100% cotton; 100m/50g);

50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in peachy color;

50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in turquoise color;

50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in violet color;

50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in green color;

Straight and circular knitting needles 4.5 mm.

Used Patterns:

Stockinette Stitch:

In RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls, in circle rows – knit sts;

Wrong-Side Pattern:

In RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts, in circle rows – purls;

Striped Pattern:

* 4 peachy rows, 4 black rows, 4 turquoise rows, 4 black rows, 4 violet rows, 4 black rows, 4 green rows, 4 black rows*; repeat from * to * once = 64 rows. Make black stripes with stockinette stitch, colorful stripes – with wrong-side pattern.

Stitches Control:

Stockinette stitch: 18.5 sts x 27.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Striped pattern: 18.5 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 84 (92) 100 sts and work with stockinette stitch between selvage sts. In 18 cm = 50 rows (19.5 cm = 54 rows) 21 cm = 58 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 2 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 2 x 1 st in every 4^th row = 60 (68) 76 sts. In 32 cm = 88 rows (35 cm = 96 rows) 38 cm = 104 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 26 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 34 cm = 94 rows (37 cm = 102 rows) 40 cm = 110 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 12 (16) 20 sts of shoulder from each side.

Left Front:

Cast on 6 (10) 14 sts and work with stockinette stitch between selvage sts. At the same time from the set-up row, increase 3 x 2 sts and 7 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from the left side for smooth rounding, 3 x 1 st in every 4^th row, 2 x 1 st in every 6^th row = 24 (28) 32 sts. In 18 cm = 50 rows (19.5 cm = 54 rows) 21 cm = 58 rows from the set-up row, make arm-hole from the right side in the same way as for back. Bind off the rest 12 (16) 20 sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front:

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves:

Cast on 87 (92) 98 sts and work with striped pattern between selvage sts, then work with stockinette stitch with black yarn. At the same time, decrease 12 x 1 st in every 6^th row from both sides = 63 (68) 74 sts. In 48 cm = 132 rows from the set-up row, bind off 2 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, 4 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, 2 x 1 st in every 4^th row, 4 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row. In 59.5 cm = 164 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 21 (26) 32 sts.

Assembly:

Make shoulder and side seams. Cast on 290 (308) 326 sts along back neck-hole, edges of front, and lower edge of back with black yarn and work with striped pattern in circle rows, starting with 4 black circle rows of stockinette stitch and 4 peachy circle rows of wrong-side pattern. At the same time, for widening, increase 28 sts in the 27^th, 41^st, and 57^th circle rows = 370 (392) 410 sts. At 23 cm height of the placket = 64 circle rows, bind off the sts. Make sleeve seams and sew up the sleeves.
