Instructions
Back/Front:
Cast on 83 stitches and make 4 rows with stockinette stitch, followed by 24 rows with the main pattern, then 12 rows with garter stitch, and 2 rows with stockinette stitch. Following that, make the 21st and 22nd rows according to the scheme, then work with the main pattern starting from the 5th row of the scheme.
In 37 cm from the set-up row, make 3 edging stitches from both sides as double rib and decrease 1 x 3 stitches, 2 x 2 stitches, and 6 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row after the first 3 stitches and before the last 3 stitches to form the arm-hole chamfers. At the same time, with the beginning of arm-hole chamfers, bind off the central stitch for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately, making 3 edging stitches from both sides as double rib and decrease 5 x 2 stitches, and 12 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row from both sides of the center after the double rib stitches.
In 50 cm from the set-up row, make double rib on the remaining 6 stitches from both sides. Decrease 3 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row, then make 28 cm of double rib for straps, doubling the quantity of stitches for pompoms (6 stitches from each side). Make 10 rows of double rib, insert the stuffing inside the pompom, and bind off with kitchener’s stitch.
Assembly:
Make side seams. Create knots on pompom decreases. Knot the straps.
