Knitting Quantity of Stitches

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 3 plus 1 plus 2 selvage stitches.

Row Instructions

1st Row (Right Side)

Slip 1 selvage stitch, then repeat the following steps:

  • 1 knit stitch
  • Yarn over
  • Yarn behind work
  • 2 knit stitches
  • Throw the slipped stitch on the 2 knit stitches

Finally, add 1 selvage stitch (as purl).

2nd Row (Wrong Side)

Slip 1 selvage stitch, then repeat the following steps:

  • 1 purl
  • Yarn over
  • Yarn in front of work
  • 2 purls
  • Throw the slipped stitch on the 2 purls

Finally, add 1 selvage stitch (as purl).

Repeating Rows

Continue to repeat the 1st and 2nd rows as specified.
