You’ll Need

250g of 100% cotton yarn in turquoise color (110m/50g);

Crochet hook size 4.5mm.

Size

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Main Pattern

Double crochets. Start every row with 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet and finish with 1 double crochet in the last chain stitch increase of the previous row.

Pineapple Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 23 + 13. Work according to the scheme. Start with stitches before pattern repeat, then the pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after pattern repeat. Complete the 1st-20th rows once, then repeat the 3rd-20th rows, and finish with the 21st row.

Stitches Control

  • Main pattern: 19.5 sts x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
  • Pineapple pattern: 19.5 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Note

For front and back, make the border from up to down, then fasten it with the main pattern. Crochet the sleeves from up to down.

Instructions

Back

Make 82 (105) chain stitches for the border + 3 chain stitches increase and work with the pineapple pattern. In 26 cm = 21 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. Then, fasten the set-up row with the main pattern, making 82 (105) double crochets in the 1st row. Decrease 10 (13) stitches in the 2nd row (make 2 double crochets together) = 72 (92) stitches. In 12 cm = 13 rows from the beginning, decrease 1 stitch from both sides for the raglan chamfer, then 11 (13) times 1 stitch in every row = 48 (64) stitches. Make 2 double crochets together in the next row and finish your work on the remaining 24 (32) stitches in 12 cm = 13 rows (13.5 cm = 15 rows) from the beginning of the raglan.

Front

Make in the same way as the back.

Sleeves

Make 59 (82) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase and work with the pineapple pattern. In 49 cm = 39 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly

Fasten the upper rows of the sleeves in the following way: join the yarn by means of 1 slip stitch, 1 chain stitch, *1 single crochet, 2 chain stitches*; repeat from * to *, and finish with 1 single crochet. Make side seams. Make sleeve seams, leaving the upper 17 (19) cm open. Make raglan seams and sew the sleeves.

Neck-Hole Edge Finishing

Fasten the edge of the neck-hole, starting from the right back seam of the raglan with circular rows as follows:

1st Circular Row

Join the yarn, 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet, 1 double crochet in the same base stitch, 2 chain stitches and 2 double crochets in the same base stitch, *skip 4 base stitches with the help of 3 chain stitches, 1 “shell” (= 2 double crochets, 2 chain stitches and 2 double crochets in 1 base stitch)*; repeat from * to *, and finish with 1 slip stitch in the 1st of the 3 chain stitches increase.

2nd Circular Row

1 chain stitch increase, *2 double crochets in the middle of every “shell”, 1 chain stitch and 2 double crochets, 1 single crochet in the center of the 3 chain stitches of the previous row*; repeat from * to *, and finish with 1 slip stitch in the initial chain stitch.
