Crochet Blanket with Heart Motifs
You’ll Need:
Different colors of 100% cotton yarn;
Crochet hooks size 3.5 and 5.
Instructions
This blanket consists of heart motifs, each measuring 10 x 10 cm. Begin by creating the motifs according to the scheme, and then connect them all together. For this project, let the colors of yarn be A, B, and C.
Start with color A.Creating the Heart Motifs
Make 7 chain stitches and circle them into a ring. Then, complete 3 rows of the motif, as illustrated in the scheme. For the 4th row, use color B yarn and begin crafting the sharp edge of the heart. Change to color C yarn for the 6th row and again form the sharp edge of the heart.
Connecting the Motifs
Once your motifs are ready, connect them to one another using single crochets.
Finishing Touches
Fasten the completed blanket with a “shrimp stitch.” Be sure to make 2 single crochets from 1 base stitch in the corners of your blanket.
Drying Your Blanket
Wet the finished blanket and lay it flat to dry on a smooth surface.
