You'll Need:

400, 450 g of 100% cotton yarn (70m/50g) of crimson color;

Relief Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiplied by 14 + 1 + 2 selvedge sts. Make according to the scheme.

Make from 1st to 16th rows, then repeat from 13th to 16th rows.

Patterns Order:

42 rows of stockinette stitch, 2 rows of garter stitch, 2 rows of wrong-side, 2 rows of stockinette stitch, the rest part - relief pattern.

Stitches Control:

15.5 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 73; 87 sts with knitting needles 4.5 and make 4 rows (2 cm) with wrong-side. This will be your placket. Then, switch to knitting needles 5 and make the patterns in previously described order. After knitting 88 rows (40 cm) from the placket, bind off 3 sts in symmetry, then 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 2 in even rows. There are 53 (67) sts in work.

After 128 rows (58.5 cm); 130 rows (59.5 cm) from the placket, bind off central 19 sts for the neck-hole and finish these parts separately.

Bind off 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 1 in every half of pair rows along the inner edge for a beautiful rounding.

After 136 rows (62 cm); 138 rows (63 cm) from the placket, bind off the rest 11; 18 sts for shoulders.

Front:

Make in the same way as back to 116 rows (53 cm); 118 rows (54 cm). Then, bind off the central 19 sts for forming neck-hole. Next, decrease 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 3 in the pair rows along the inner edge of each part. Decrease 1 st x 1 in the 4th row.

Sleeve:

Cast on 51 sts with knitting needles 4.5 and knit placket with wrong-side for 4 rows (2 cm). Turn to knitting needles 5 and make 2 rows with stockinette stitch. Make increases in the last row: 0; 4 sts, divide them into the whole work. There are 51; 55 sts in work.

Then, knit according to the following scheme: 1 selvedge st, last 3;5 sts of pattern repeat once, pattern repeat x 3 times, finishing with first 4; 6 sts of pattern repeat, 1 selvedge st.

For the sleeve cap, bind off 2 sts in symmetry after 4 rows (2 cm) from the placket and 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 11, 2 sts x 1, 3 sts x 1.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams. Lift 78 sts to the circle knitting needles and make 1 circle row of wrong-side. Then, 1 row of stockinette stitch. Bind off the sts as knit sts in the next row.

Make sleeve and side seams. Sew sleeves.
