The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 12 stitches plus 2 stitches for symmetry and 2 selvedge stitches. Slip the 1st selvedge stitch without knitting and make the last selvedge stitch as purl.

Complex Stitch Rows
3rd Row: 1 knit stitch, * transfer 2 stitches to the auxiliary needle behind work, 2 knit stitches, make 2 stitches from the auxiliary needle as knit stitches, 4 knit stitches, transfer 2 stitches to the auxiliary needle in front of work, 2 knit stitches, make 2 stitches from the auxiliary needle as knit stitches*, 1 knit stitch;
5th Row: Knit;
7th Row: 1 knit stitch, * transfer 2 stitches to the auxiliary needle in front of work, 2 knit stitches, make 2 stitches from the auxiliary needle as knit stitches, 1 knit stitch, * transfer 2 stitches to the auxiliary needle behind work, 2 knit stitches, make 2 stitches from the auxiliary needle as knit stitches*, 1 knit stitch.
Repeat the 1st to 8th rows.
