Complete Guide to Creating a Beautiful Crochet Project with Tahki Cotton Classic

You'll Need:

Tahki Cotton Classic, each approximately 108 yards/99m (cotton): 1 ball #3744 Forest Green

Crochet hook D (3.25 mm)

Yarn needle

Slide clasp

Notes:

Tunisian Simple Stitch (Tss): Insert hook from left to right into vertical thread, yo, draw up loop and leave on hook.

Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps): Bring yarn to front, insert hook into vertical thread, bring yarn to back under hook, yo, draw up loop and leave on hook.

Return Row: Yo, draw through one loop (forms the edge), *yo, draw through 2 loops; repeat from * until one loop remains on hook. Don’t turn. This loop is the first stitch of the next row.

Instructions:

Ch 10.

Foundation Row (Forward Half): Working into loops on the underside of chain, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yo, draw up loop and leave on hook. *Insert hook into next ch, yo, draw up loop and leave on hook; repeat from * to end – 10 ch on hook.

Foundation Row (Return Half): Work return row.

Row 1 (Forward Half): Skip first stitch, *Tss, Tps; repeat from * to last stitch, Tss in last stitch.

Row 1 (Return Half): Work return row.

Row 2 (Forward Half): Skip first stitch, *Tps, Tss; repeat from * to last stitch, Tss in last stitch.

Row 2 (Return Half): Work return row.

Repeat rows 1-2 until the piece measures 6″ from the beginning. Fasten off.

Finishing:

Weave in ends.

Sew slide clasp to ends.
