​Funny Teacup Crochet Pin Cushion

Materials

Blue acryl yarn 100 g/300 m, a little beige, pink and grey yarn
Holofiber filling
Hook 2,5 mm
Scissors
2 beads (for eyes)
Glue
Cardboard or plastic for base

Cup base

1st row: cast on 2 sp with blue thread and circle the sts. Make 6 BP sc and knit around (6 BP sc).
2nd row: widening, repeat 6 times (12 BP sc)
3rd row: widening, 1 BP sc, repeat 6 times (18 BP sc)
4th row: widening, 2 BP sc, repeat 6 times (24 BP sc)
5th row: widening, 3 BP sc, repeat 6 times (30 BP sc)
6th row: widening, 4 BP sc, repeat 6 times (36 BP sc)
7th row: widening, 5 BP sc, repeat 6 times (42 BP sc)
8th row: widening, 6 BP sc, repeat 6 times (48 BP sc)
9th row: widening, 7 BP sc, repeat 6 times (54 BP sc)
10th row: widening, 8 BP sc, repeat 6 times (60 BP sc)
11th row: knit behind the front st.
12-25th rows: 60 BP sc
26th row: for making edging, knit 60 BP sc, but upon the 25th row close the row, cut and hide the thread.

Top of Tea

1st row: cast on 2 sp with beige thread and circle the sts. Make 6 BP sc and knit around (6 BP sc).
2nd row: widening, repeat 6 times (12 BP sc)
3rd row: widening, 1 BP sc, repeat 6 times (18 BP sc)
4th row: widening, 2 BP sc, repeat 6 times (24 BP sc)
5th row: widening, 3 BP sc, repeat 6 times (30 BP sc)
6th row: widening, 4 BP sc, repeat 6 times (36 BP sc)
7th row: widening, 5 BP sc, repeat 6 times (42 BP sc)
8th row: widening, 6 BP sc, repeat 6 times (48 BP sc)
9th row: widening, 7 BP sc, repeat 6 times (54 BP sc)
10th row: widening, 8 BP sc, repeat 6 times (60 BP sc)
Leave the thread for widening.

Handle

1st row: cast on 2 sp with blue thread and circle the sts. Make 6 BP sc and knit around (6 BP sc).
2nd row: widening, repeat 6 times (12 BP sc)
3-6th rows: 12 BP sc
7th row: (5 BP sc) x 2 times (14 BP sc)
16-23rd rows: 12 BP sc, leave the thread for sewing.

Cheeks

1st row: cast on 2 sp with pink thread and circle the sts. Knit 12 BP sc, then knit around (12 BP sc), leave the thread for sewing, * sew between 15th and 19th rows, distance between cheeks is 6 BP sc.

Teabag

1st row: cast on 7 sp, insert the hook into the 2 sts from it, knit 6 BP sc, turn the work in the end of each row.
2-18th rows: 6 BP sc
19th row: decrease, 4 BP sc (5 BP sc)
20-21st rows: 5 BP sc
22nd row: decrease, 3 BP sc (4 BP sc)
23-24th rows: 4 BP sc
25th row: decrease, 2 BP sc (3 BP sc)
26th row: behind one top 3 BP sc
27th row: knit the element around with BP sc, fold in the form of teabag, sew and fill in with the holofiber.

Sorry, probably a stupid question… But what is a BP? I’m fairly new to crochet, but thought this cute little tea cup would make a nice gift for a friend… thank you!

What country are you from as u use terms that are u familiar n cannot find them on internet. Wish I understood your patterns.

I try to find different patterns from different sources, maybe some of them need corrections for better understanding.

Is this a crochet pattern, the instructions say to “knit” & “cast on”? Abbreviations/instructions are confusing. Such a cute & novel pattern though.
