Cast on 108 sts and place them on 6 needles (18 sts on each), then circle the needles.

Knit 7 knit sts and make a float: slip 2 sts on right needle.

Knit next st with knit st. Pull this knit st through 2 slipped sts. Leave the slip st on right needle.

The quantity of sts decreases in two (12 sts). In the place, where you make floating, there is a nice cable, which divide the ray in 2 halves.

After floatings knit 7 knit sts and the rest st knit in purl.

Place the sts on 6 needles.

3rd row: make 6 knit sts, make floating and the rest st is purl.

Pull the knit st through 2 slipped sts and leave it on the right needle. The quantity of sts decreases in 2.

4th row: 5 knit sts, floating, 1 purl.

5th row: 4 knit sts, floating, 1 purl.

6th row: 3 knit sts, floating, 3 knit sts, 1 purl.

7th row: 2 knit sts, floating, 2 knit sts, 1 purl.

8th row: 1 knit st, floating, 1 knit st, 1 purl.

9th row: place the needle behind two first sts and pull them on the right side. Make 1 knit st and pull it through 2 slipped sts. Make 1 purl. The rest 2 sts: make floating and knit them purls.

10th row: 1 knit st in 2 sts.

11th row: the same as 10th.

Assemble the rest sts to the centre, hide the end of the thread.

Knit the second half and sew them. You can use sintepon to fill in your cushion.

I was interested in the star crochet cushion but the instructions were for knitting. Does that make sense? I don’t knit. I only crochet. I thought my granddaughter would like this.
