Crochet a Chic Beige Top Using Cotton Gold Yarn



You’ll Need:
400g of beige Cotton Gold yarn (55% cotton, 45% acryl; 330m/100g);
40g of beige 100% cotton yarn (395m/100g);
Crochet hooks 1.5 and 1.9;
9 buttons.

Used Patterns:
Main pattern: due to the scheme 1. Start work as one-piece cloth. Make a chain of 88 cm long. Then, work 38 cm with the main pattern. Then, continue work from separate balls: 19 cm – front, 6 cm – out of work, 38 cm – back, 6 cm – out of work, 19 cm – front.
Instructions:
Front:
Crochet straight for 16 cm, then, don’t finish 6 cm to the edge of work to neck-hole, turn, crochet to arm-hole. Don’t finish 1 cm to neck-hole in the next row, turn, work to arm-hole and don’t finish 1 cm to neck-hole. Make 2 cm on the rest stitches. Cut the yarn.
Back:
Crochet 19 cm straight. Then, divide your work into 3 parts: leave the central 20 cm out of work, crochet 9 cm of each shoulder for 2 cm in height. Cut the yarn.
Sleeves:
Make shoulder seams. Make the stitches along arm-hole and work with the main pattern for 3 cm without decreases. Then, decrease 1 double crochet from both sides in every 5th row. When the width of work is 20 cm, finish making decreases. Finish sleeve to the needed length. Cut the yarn.
Assembly:
Make sleeve seams. Then, fasten the edges of work with the second type of yarn and crochet hook 1.5, starting with back neck-hole. Take main yarn in 2 threads, join it to the edge of work and fasten these 2 threads (bourdon) with single crochets, sewing them to the main work. Crochet 1 round. Make the next row according to scheme 2. Make 3 single crochets to the main work, fasten bourdon with 10 single crochets. Make the 3rd row with single crochets, making bourdon and picot. Make button-loops according to scheme 3, drawing bourdon above 3 single crochets and fasten it with 5 single crochets, then, 8 single crochets with picot. Fasten sleeves according to scheme 4. Sew buttons.
