Yarn Requirements

  • Yarn A: Avocado Green

  • Yarn B: Burnt Orange

Instructions


Foundation Ring – Yarn A

  • Ch 4, sl-st to first ch to form a ring.

Round 1 – Center Bloom (Yarn A)

  • Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into the ring.

  • Join with sl-st to top of ch-3. (12 dc)

  • Break off Yarn A.

Round 2 – Petal Layer (Yarn B)

  • Join Yarn B in any dc.

  • Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same st.

  • 2 dc in each remaining st around.

  • Join with sl-st. (24 dc)

  • Break off Yarn B.

Round 3 – Circle to Square (Yarn C)

  • Join Yarn C between any dc group.

  • Ch 3, dc in next 4 sts.

  • In next st: *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) – corner made.

  • Dc in next 5 sts.

  • Rep from * three more times.

  • Join with sl-st.

  • (56 dc, including 4 ch-2 corners)

  • Break off Yarn C.

Round 4 – Growing the Frame (Yarn D)

  • Join Yarn D in any ch-2 corner space.

  • Ch 3 (counts as dc), (1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same space.

  • Dc in each st across to next corner.

  • (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner.

  • Repeat around. Join with sl-st.

  • Break off Yarn D.

Round 5 – Outer Edge (Yarn E)

  • Join Yarn E in any corner space.

  • Ch 3 (counts as dc), (1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner.

  • Dc across to next corner.

  • Repeat (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each corner.

  • Join with sl-st to first dc.

  • Fasten off and weave in ends.
