Stitches

  • HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three stitches.

  • Cluster: Cluster- *Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over through two stitches.* Repeat from * to * until there are 4 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops.

Instructions

RND 1: Chain 86. Join with a SS to the first chain made WITHOUT twisting your chain. If you have trouble doing so, check out this FOOL PROOF TRICK.

Round 1: Chain 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (86)

Round 2: Chain 2. *Cluster. Chain 1. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Cluster made. (43 clusters)

Round 3: SS into the next chain 1 space. Chain 1. *Sc in the next Chain 1 space. Chain 1. Skip the next Cluster.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 4: SS into the next chain 1 space. Chain 2. *Cluster in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1. Skip the next Sc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Cluster made.

Repeat Rounds 3 – 4 ending in round 3 until desired length.

Final Round: Chain 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (86)
