Complete Crochet Instructions for a Beautiful Yarn Project

You’ll Need:

Approximately 20 - 24 oz of yarn, or use up scraps;

Crochet hook K.

Instructions:

Round 1

: ch 6, join with sl st.

Round 2

: ch 1, 8 sc into ring, join with sl st.

Round 3

: ch 3, dc in same st, ch 2, *2dc in next st, ch 2. repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 4

: ch 3, dc in same st, 2dc in next st, *ch 12, 2dc in each of next 2 st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 5

: ch 3, dc in next 3 st, *ch 8, dc in each of next 4 st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 6

: ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 2 st, 2dc in next st, *ch 8, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 st, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 7

: ch 3, dc in each of next 5 st, *ch 8, dc in each of next 6 st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 8

: ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 4 st, 2dc in next st, *ch 8, 2dc in next st, dc in next 4 st, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 9

: ch 3, dc in next 7 st, *ch 8, dc in next 8 st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 10

: ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 6 st, 2dc in next st, *ch 8, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 6 st, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 11

: ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 2 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 2 st, 2dc in next st, *ch 8, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 2 st, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 12

: ch 3, dc in each of next 3 st, ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st, *ch 8, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 13

: ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, *ch 8, dc in each of next 4 dc, repeat from * around, join with slip st.

Round 14

: repeat Round 13.

Round 15

: repeat Round 14.

Round 16

: repeat Round 15.

Round 17

: ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each st until last st of section, 2dc in last st of section, *ch 8, 2dc in first st of section, dc in each st until last st of section, 2dc in last st of section, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 18

: ch 3, dc in next st and in each st of section, *ch 8, dc in each st of section, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Round 19

: repeat Round 18.

Round 20

: repeat Round 19.

Round 21

: repeat Round 20.

Repeat rounds 17-21 for pattern until desired size is obtained.

Last Row:

ch 3, dc in next st and in each st of section, *ch 4, dc in each st of section, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

Now you lace up the ch sts. First, you draw the ch 12 under the ch 2 of the round below, then draw the ch 8 of the next round through the ch 12, then draw the ch 8 of the next row through the ch 8 of the row below until you have all the ch sections laced up.

Next Rounds:

ch 3, dc in each st in section, 3sc in ch loop, *dc in each st of section, 3sc in ch loop, repeat from * around, join with sl st.

ch 1, sc in first st and in each st around, join with sl st, repeat this round one time, finish off.

For a shell border, sl st in first st, ch 1, skip next st, *4 dc in next st, skip next st, sl st in next st, skip next st, repeat from * around, join with slip st, finish off.
